Two Short Notes

Hello all,

I hope you’re all well. I had a couple of things that I wanted to share out.

Many people have asked whether I will be running the newsletter again on the same cycle this year, that is, from Good Friday 2024 onward. My plan originally had been to do so, as I told many people, and I was looking forward to it. While I am still cautiously hopeful to make it happen, I can no longer promise it.

I don’t want to wax about my personal life to thousands of strangers, but in short, my life has been completely upturned due to unspeakable tragedy. I truly wish that were exaggeration. The newsletter has only continued because I had the time to schedule the rest of the posts months ago, and for that, I am very grateful. I may be able to ask a friend to help me with copying and scheduling the posts again, following what would be the updated schedule, but it truly is not and cannot be my priority right now. (Arguably, I shouldn’t be spending my time on this, but it felt too important to neglect.) Any good thoughts sent my way are appreciated (and/or prayers, if that’s your cup of tea).

Secondly - I recently read this note from a fellow Substack, which brought a recent announcement from a co-founder of Substack to my attention. I would like to echo the sentiments of the fellow Substack here, that being that, in short, Nazis and fascists are not welcome here. My choosing to share literature freely on this platform does not constitute my agreement with its founders’ beliefs.
